Dr. Benjamin Taylor, M.D., FRCSC

Owner/Operator, Head Facial Plastic &
Reconstructive Surgeon

Meet Dr. Taylor, owner of MARA and facial plastic surgeon. Dr Taylor completed his surgical training in Otolaryngology (Head & Neck surgery) at Dalhousie University in 2018. He relocated to the Annapolis Valley where he had previously enjoyed an undergrad at Acadia University (and was also Valedictorian of his graduating class!). Dr. Taylor quickly grew a busy practice focused on facial aesthetics (surgical and non-surgical) as well as facial skin cancer surgery and reconstruction. This led to the creation of MARA Medical Aesthetics, a welcoming, family-run, luxurious space focused on elevating natural beauty. Dr. Taylor’s vision is to seamlessly integrate MARA into the fabric of the beautiful local community while offering expert, individualized care from himself and other carefully selected team members. Dr. Taylor will also continue to offer surgical management of diseases of the head and neck in his practice located adjacent to MARA, by physician referral only.

Lee Rayworth, NP

Nurse Practitioner

Lee Rayworth is a highly skilled nurse practitioner with an expertise in medical aesthetics and a Certificate in Basic and Advanced Injectables from the Canadian Association of Medical Aesthetics. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Prince Edward Island in 2012, followed by her Master of Nursing, Nurse Practitioner from Athabasca University in 2021. Lee is renowned for providing comprehensive and compassionate care across a range of patient needs.

Crystal Saunders

Clinical Aesthetician

Crystal Saunders is a master clinical aesthetician bringing over 22 years of experience in the natural, organic, and clinical skin care industry. Crystal has the capacity to help address a variety of skin concerns both by giving guidance on proper skin care and by creating a specialized treatment protocol based on client concerns. Crystal fosters strong, trusting relationships with her clients. She is motivated by watching her clients flourish and feel better in their own skin transformed under her careful direction and care.

Beth keeps MARA running smoothly, ensuring every detail behind the scenes is handled with precision and care. From brand operations to patient experience, she makes sure your MARA experience is exceptional and memorable.

With a sharp eye for organization and a warm personality, Deb oversees daily operations, front desk activity, and MARA management. Despite her busy schedule Deb still manages to make personal, memorable connections with all of our patients.  Deb keeps the clinic running efficiently and is our go-to for making sure everything stays on track.

Stacey ensures every surgical procedure at MARA is coordinated flawlessly, from scheduling to post-care support. With her expertise and attention to detail, she makes the process smooth and stress-free for every patient. She will be the friendly face greeting you when you arrive for your surgery with Dr. Taylor.

Kelly Larder

Master/Clinical Aesthetician

Kelly Keddy is a master aesthetician with extensive skincare knowledge which has continuously grown over her 28 years of service.  Kelly’s passion for skincare lead to her becoming an educator with Aveda Atlantic for 14 years and also at Elevate Beauty Institute of Cosmetology where she developed and delivered curriculum for three years. Kelly returned to working with  clients, offering expanded services including advanced medical skincare, lasers and lamprobe sessions.  Kelly gives exceptional service and has a warm, caring nature that envelopes you during each visit. Educating clients in regards to their skin needs, is her speciality.

Natasha Higgs

Clinical Aesthetician

Natasha is a clinical aesthetician specialising in advanced skin treatments. She takes a functional approach to treating skin, always beginning with a comprehensive consultation to understand your unique needs. She believes establishing an effective home care regimen and undergoing results driven treatments will allow you to achieve the best possible results, and is here to support you every step of the way.

No. You can self refer for all services available through Mara! Please phone or contact us via email to inquire or book services.

Depending on which services you request, you may be treated by Dr. Taylor, Nurse Practitioner Rayworth, or one of our talented Clinical Aestheticians.

You will be greeted and offered a beverage. We often request forms to be filled out prior to your consultation. This will allow us to gather all necessary information. You will be brought into one of our treatment rooms where you will meet with one of our skilled practitioners. You will have the opportunity to discuss any concerns and have your questions answered. Many treatments can be offered at the time of consultation if you wish. You will be given post treatment instructions and a follow up appointment will be booked.

Please do your best to fill out any forms requested. This helps our team prepare for your consultation to ensure things go as smoothly as possible. If you are considering injectable treatments, alcohol consumption 24 hours prior to consultation should be limited.

We understand life happens! If you do need to cancel or modify your appointment we ask for a minimum of a 24 hour notice. If consultations are missed without notice, we require a $100 deposit to be paid prior to rebooking the next appointment.

Unfortunately we do not offer financing options.
Consultations with Dr. Taylor and NP Rayworth are $100. The cost of the consultation is applied to any treatment performed that day. Consultations with our clinical aestheticians are complimentary.
Yes we do! Please speak with our reception staff to purchase.
Yes, we have complimentary patient parking in the front of our office. There is also nearby on-street parking. There is also a Town of Wolfville Parking lot 100m away at 282 Main Street, Wolfville.
